SO.

the loverly dana c. (aka starc) is offering digital commissions/selling sketches, and i was lucky enough to get some.

more importantly, it's a way to say thank you to her. dana, i wasn't kidding when i said you'd been an idol of mine for a long time.

as i think i once put it,
you are the wind beneath my wings.
(or maybe you put it that way..?)

i know you get sad and upset sometimes, and tired of the people here, but.. please, don't ever stop sharing your art with others. it's inspired me and helped me so much along the way.

(this, by the way, is a work in progress, a sketch for a piece i plan on finishing. i wrecked my car today and decided that it was about time to buy a new sketchbook. somehow, for me, those two things seemed very related.)

I really like that quote for some reason. Reminds me of something from a novel.

PS: Love the image. Don't see enough handwork from you.

i bought a sketchbook to try to get back into it. :)

You never see the bullet, never hear the shot, because as it tears through
your head and the jacket splits and the core blows the remains out the back,

the sound is still a few feet from your ears.

Wonderful, I hope to see more then!

Unfortunate discovery today, I haven't done much artwork in the past while and my style has kind of died. I tried sketching out an image to paint for my friend, and it was lame and awkward. I better not get myself into an art block right before going off to art school.

just find some good music and spend a while sketching. it'll come back to you. mine did.

Yeah, I'm planning on attempting to get back into it sometime soon. Since I'm unemployed :D haha
